After the HFI at Hyderabad, I am busy with my job. In meanwhile many people started to work on the free PCB of BITX-40 that was provided by HFI Hyderabad. There was many errata, which was indeed being in detection process.
My Friends SWL Amogh Desai has prepared a list of correction collected by him, and has posted some videos by Ashar Farhan sir's session on BITX at HFI. However all those things are yet to produce a successful BITX build.
VU2SWX is trying hard to succeed, till now he has able to complete the Rx and some faint audio issue is posted on facebook by him.
Anyway, my build is lacking where it was 2 weeks ago. Just the Mix, Audio and some Bidirectional sections done. Those who are doing BITX with BC547, Please keep looking for Leg Configuration. Also there will be lot of changes required, as the BITX40 design on Souvenir is for 2n3904. I am going on with 2N3904.
Those who are facing problem with BC547, can contact VU3JOJ, Jaydip da, as he is on the same path. Also Designer Farhan sir can be contacted for any problem at farhanbox at gmail dot com.
Update March 2015: VU2ASH, Ashok sir and many other people have succesfully built the BITX-40 PCB for 40 Meter and 20 Meter. Some are trying to make it dual bander with 10Mhz BFO. So all the best to them on the project.
