Being busy with job kept me long absent from hobby. Anyway, there were some problems arise in matching the crystal for a ladder filter for the BITX 40 from HFI 2014. The bandwidth we were getting after all compensation were only 900hz, which was far behind the 2.4Khz.
Meanwhile my impedance meter search took me to a new Scalar Network Analyzer, commonly known as Poor HAM's Scalar Network analyzer. All the info available on its yahoo group of PHSNA.
The device has many function to analyze any filter with the RF signal generator's ability as the limit. And to save time testing those crystals I am looking to make one of it for VU2AOR and one for myself. All the critical components except the AD8307 RF Detector is available with me. Professor Sunil Thomas from IIT,KGP was kind enough to offer me help in getting the missing components, its still on its way to reach me. So once the project is on its path, I will share the entire thing in details.
For now the info is this project will shut many T&M company's monopoly in market over our required expensive equipments.
Its based upon a Arduino UNO brain, can be used as a Power Detector, Z meter, SWR Meter, Antenna Analyzer and Network Analyzer.
So lets wait for next step in it..
